WAUKEGAN – State Senator Adriane Johnson is proud to launch this year’s 30 Wonders of the 30th District—a special initiative honoring outstanding businesses that are making a meaningful difference across Lake County and beyond.
“Each year, I look forward to spotlighting the people and organizations that uplift our communities,” said Johnson (D-Buffalo Grove). “This year, we’re focusing on the businesses—large and small—that are driving innovation, creating jobs, and investing in the future of our district.”
Now in its annual run, 30 Wonders of the 30th District celebrates excellence, leadership and service across various sectors. The 2025 Business Edition will highlight a diverse range of enterprises—from micro-enterprises to large corporations—that help shape the economic and cultural vibrancy of the 30th District. Business categories include micro-enterprises with 1 to 10 employees, small businesses with 11 to 49 employees, medium-sized businesses with 50 to 249 employees, and large businesses with 250 or more employees.
Members of the public are encouraged to nominate businesses that exemplify community leadership, innovation, economic impact, and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion.
Nominations are now open. Residents can submit businesses for consideration using the official nomination form, available here. Winners will be announced later this summer and honored during a community recognition event.
“Behind every thriving community are local businesses that keep it running,” Johnson said. “Let’s take this opportunity to recognize the entrepreneurs, founders, and teams that make the 30th District a great place to live, work, and grow.”
